Oooour thank you cards arrived … and I loooove them!!!! They were custom made by wonderful Kate Meighan from K8Cards. Do you like them?
Funny (in a beautiful way) what you can get when you simply ask. I had actually purchased a cool card from Kate from her collection for my hubby and when I received the card she had the card wrapped in a ‘thank u’ ribbon-card. I thought it was sooooo thoughtful and beautiful, but I didn’t know if she created it herself or if she purchased it from somewhere. So I asked .. and to my delight .. she makes them herself at an almost-fell-off-my-chair great price. (Thank u again Kate!!!). She also reminded me to change my etsy hellooo home shop to accept custom orders.
We just added another pillow cover design to our shop (woohooo). It has been sooooo (breath) ooo busy at work lately, but we finally finished the pillow and I am finally able to breath enough to u/l pics to show you.
Ooooh, but check this brilliant idea from fabulosa design assistant Evelisa, I had mentioned that we should start organizing our fabrics and she came up with the brilliant idea to hang them up using children’s hangers (which are gentle and sized perfectly for our fabric yards):
l know I had mentioned that I would share more about the great BYW class I went to – taught by Holly Becker and Leslie shewring, but did I mentioned it’s been CrAzY busy here?! Like, did I even brush my hair busy?!! This post would turn into a book if I would write today about it so I will only share a few photos. Like, below is beautiful Leslie showing us her great photography tips diffusing light to prevent shadows
After she shared her tips, we were able to set up items we brought to photograph … playing with light, positioning, and the best lesson I received was let the photos ‘tell a story’. Ok, mine below didn’t completely tell a story (hahaha), but I eyed the table and chair below and asked it to model for me:
We had a special guest pass by which almost made my jaw drop bec. I am a huge fan of his work. It was Sweet Paul (that’s him below) – he’s a food and prop stylist, amazing photographer. You have to check out his magazine Sweet Paul to see why I love his work so much! But read the mag later, I have more to share below (haha). In blue below is beautiful Holly – she is as authentic in person as in her blog (super awesome!!):
So, after my photo lessons, I took this photo below at home (ok, ok, a little bit of shadow still …. mainly bec I didn’t take the pic in the morning – the morning zoooomed by so quickly), but not to bad right??!
This is our daffodil pillow covers, which we are selling for $22. This design shows our heart pocket on the BACK of the pillowcase for those people that love the pocket functionality, but may not want to display a red heart on their sofa. Check out our shop for more pics.

Glad u like the pics, I have many more to share, just need to squeeze some time to u/l, etc. etc. … u know the drill
I’m so excited you were able to attend this event! Love the pillow covers and photos. What camera are you using?
hi Latoya, I use nikon d 60 which I loooooove.
Thanks for sharing some of your experience from the BYW workshop. How fun to meet Holly, Leslie, and Paul in person (I love his styling and photography, too)! I thought BYW 2.0 was going to be offered in April, but I haven’t heard or received any news yet. Hope it comes soon.
It was FUN. And they r offering a BYW 2.0, this was their ‘Tour’ version. I believe the 2.0 is web/video related .. and not meeting in person.
