Wednesday’s Wink … {Quotes + Notes}

Hello friends. I am so proud of myself .. it’s been 1 whoooole week and I’ve managed to reduce my coffee intake per day to just 2 cups a day (vs the 4 – 5 that I usually drank) .. without getting cranky or passing out as I walk from zzzz.  Hmmm, maybe 1 cup of coffee in the am and 1 chocolate bar in the afternoon .. ok maybe not! I love seeing decorative items that convey a message or feeling. So when I spotted Marlene Tam’s Quotes and Notes  in Etsy I knew I had to share her talent and designs with you. Here are a few ….. (don’t you feel more relaxed just looking at them?) … the average cost is about $20.  

I visualize the ‘note’ books on a nightstand … perfect location where you can jot down your gratitudes of the day before u go to sleep.  Do you write or recap your gratitudes for the day? I do (ok, sometimes I forget or am very zzzzzz to recap … but the majority of the times I do)  … aiming to recap 5 things that happened that day that I am grateful for (e.g.: things/events/people that made me smile) … like this morning I went for my am walk and heard a music like taping noise then spotted a lovely woodpecker – it brought a smile to my face seeing it’s colors and ‘in action’!  Simple = powerful. I feel that when we smile we illuminate and tune into the energy of love … so I am always happy and grateful for all things that make me smile.

Oh, here’s one more design by Marlene below. How about walking with a poem on you? No, I don’t mean taping a poem to your t-shirt …. but wearing a poem that was screen printed onto linen fabric then transformed into a flower … like the beautiful flower-poem brooch below (lovely huh?!).
