Today’s post shows lovely lotus design decals that we installed for a couple’s bedroom closet doors. I sourced the decals for them, they feel in love with the serene design + color, and hired us to install the decals. Of course, I am happy to do installations for my NYC clients … and Hawaii, and anyplace near the beach! Ready for pics?
First I attached the decals with tape until I got the scattered look that I was aiming for:
Here’s a better view below. See the ladder in the photo? It became my BFF for this project to reach the TOP of the closet door:
Thank goodness Evelisa was there, she tackled 1 door and I tackled the other to make the installation go faster:
Process: trim, press, remove … ahhhhh dots still on the transfer paper (see pics below) …. we had to gently remove the dots from the transfer paper ONE BY ONE BY ONE by zzzzzz ONE … and apply manually onto the door:
Pretty decals (hmmm, decorator doesn’t look too bad either huh! I wish I had a make-up crew with me in photoshoots!!) Thankfully, I didn’t fall off the ladder:
My clients’ bedroom has a space where they do yoga so it was important to find a decal design that gave a relaxing visual elegance. Mission accomplished. I hope YOU love it too!
Remember, decals are not just for walls – they can also beautify closet doors! I have one (a large pink …yeeeees, pink! … grandfather clock) in my office which I LOOOOOVE! How about you, have you used decals too?

Those look great – you guys did such a good job
Hi, Ada
Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Love the decals on the doors. It’s a great idea if you don’t want to use wallpaper. And it’s so much easier to apply. The flower decals actually reminded me of an osborne and little fabric that I used once for a girls room.
Cheers,
Christine
Glad u liked the design Christine, and I am happy to stop by ur blog
Keep shining!!!
What a great result!! And it looks so fun to do. I have a serious case of job and creativity envy! Happy midsummer!
Hi Niki … decal installs are a WORK-OUT .. stretch up and down .. sideways!!!
Hence clients hiring me to do it .. meticulous work that does take a bit of patience, but once complete it a WOW and oooh sooo worth it in seeing my clients smiles!!!!
Ada, it looks great! Wall decals are such a great way to change the look of a room or in this case doors…You don’t need a make-up crew, you look great in the all the photos!
Aww Nina what a sweet comment about not needing a makeup crew
Glad u like the door TRANSFORMATION!!! So magical how a simple (and economical) decorative item can have such a HUGE visual impact!
Very pretty Ada. I’ve got to try that since my closet doors are smooth. I think you need to stop being so hard on yourself about the way you look in pics. I think you always look cute and professional even if your hair is not perfect.
Hi Lisa, glad u find the design pretty!! And as for me being “hard on myself about the way I look” … do you realize that I didn’t mention anything about my hair not being perfect, BUT YOU just did (LOL hahahah!). What I meant is, wouldn’t it be conveniently GREAT to have a make-up crew with you (powder up!!!), or chauffeur driving us to places. I WOULD!!!!
The lotus design decals customized the closet doors and make them look awesome! Great job!
Definitely Myra, it is a … custom look at an economical price (Yeeeah for economical solutions!!!).
