Today is a peek at one of my interior designs .. a studio apartment (pssst ….plus I also have some exciting news to share at the end of this post)! Today’s design I call a 3 in 1 – where I designed 3 spaces in 1 room … a living room, bedroom, and home office. I hope you are inspired by the design to surround yourself with colors that YOU love:
That’s me fluffing the sofa’s cushions for the photoshoot. We installed sheer white curtains to divide the space without closing it … sheer curtains also give a soft look within the room:
Here is the office viewed from the living room, and … do you see the peek into the bedroom through the curtains?:
Below is another view. Do you like the stripes?
The home office has the essentials .. computer, lighting (lamp), pens/pencils, lots of desk space … and of course a visual inspirational item = the letters B.E.L.I.E.V.E.:
Do you have a home office? What inspirational ‘visualness’ do you surround yourself with?
Ok, now for my biz cool news ….. I am sooo giddy sharing this with you!!! My design assistant (fabulosa Evelisa Franqui) and I have teamed up to open a store in Etsy (wooohoooo confettiiii) to sell a classic home decor ‘with a twist’. What are we selling? Here’s a photo peek if you want to guess (hint: it’s perfect for Valentines day and every day!!!)?
Ok, ooookaaaay the reveal … we will be selling custom pillow covers with what we call ‘Pocket’s of Love’” … the heart is a sturdy (yet soft to the touch) pocket where you can place a book, card (like a Valentine’s Day card hint hint hint … it’s coming soon!), a remote control, tissues (for those sad movies!!!), etc etc. Here’s one of the pillows:
Do you like it? I am completely in loooove with how our prototype came out. We are handmaking 16″x16″ and 18″x18″ sizes. More details and fabric color + designs to come soon. We officially start selling them next week (if all goes well … there are sooo many details to setting up the store … my head is still spinning!)! If you are interested in buying one for yourself or to gift, let me know and I can place you on the list and provide you more specs). Happy Wednesday!!!!

That is so exciting!!!! I think the pillow looks super cute and it’s right on time for Valentines. I like what you did with the sheer white curtains and how they divided the space.
Hi Amanda … thanks (yes PERFECT for v-daywooohhhooooooo)!!!
Ada, you’re so good at creating multiple uses within one space. You should write an e-book about it. I bet a lot of people living in the city would appreciate learning how to split up their space in a cool way. I love the stripes on the wall and the sheer curtain. I’m interested in buying one of your pillows. They look so cute. Let me know when you get etsy up and running.
Hi Lisa .. what a lovely comment (I like the challenge of creatign multiple spaces within a room and making it feel/look larger than it is for my clients’ comfort). Funny that you mentioned an e-book, bec. I am currently editing one (to feature on my Facebook pan page and for my e-newsletter subscribers). To launch soooon! So much going on. Glad that you like the ‘pocket of love’! I will ADD YOU to our list to let you now when we launch. Thanks for your feedback! Have an AWESOME day!!!
Wow! What a great space you created. So many great details! And yes, I love the stripes, such a clever idea. I look forward to visiting your etsy shop!
I really like the use of the fabric panel in the studio as a divider.
And that pillow is so cute Ada!
Hi Santa, glad u like the divider (the sheerness is the secret!)
And thanks for the pillow feedback, glad u find it cute as well!!!
Congrats on the soon to be Etsy store. Can’t wait to check it out. I sell on Etsy too, it’s fun, but so much work! But, it’s so exciting to have a stranger buy something from you because they love your work. And that pillow is such a cute idea!
Thanks Michelle … we launched woooohoooo (http://www.etsy.com/shop/HelloooHome). I will add u to my Etsy circle of freinds. So glad u like the pillow … pockets were so difficult to create .. ALOT of testing done for perfection.
That apartment is just radiant…so is your blog! Love your site…best of luck in your new shop. Cheers!
Hi Nik, ooh how sweet of you to say so! And thanks so much for the warm wishes for our new Etsy shop!!
