Happy Wednesday!!! Today I am sharing a peek at one of my design projects for a client in Riverdale (a bedroom) + my tip on how I guide my contractors in placing art on the walls. Whatchathink of the color placement of the wall art disc?
So, what I did was place the Disc Art on a cardboard and traced it’s outline with a marker, then taped it up = perfect guide for the contractors! Muuuch better than struggling to keep the art up all at once (especially since some art/frames can be HEAVY). With these cut outs I could easily move the 3 different sizes around with ease:
Aren’t these art discs gorgeous??? I always like to introduce a WOW statement into a room for my designs and this was an art piece that I saw and KNEW immediately that it would be perfect for my client. He loved it too (yeaaaah!):
We numbered the cardboard disc since there were 3 different sz:
Here I am am showing the cardboard and wall disc art. Sorry for the dark photo below (taken from cell phone camera).
There is usually (almost always!!!) something that goes wrong. It’s kinda normal in my eyes – for hey ‘things happen’. So when the gorgeous floor lamp arrived damaged (the base’s upright went right through the carton urrghhh), I took immediate action to get it replaced (at the store’s cost of course!!) – no need to huff or puff or cry or faint, just take action! The doorman shouldn’t had signed for it since you can clearly see that it is damaged, but hey it was already signed for … so I had to go to plan B:
I took photos of the packaging and the damage + requested (and received) a replacement (nicely packed this time!!! .. phew!)
Here’s the beautiful tri-pod floor lamp … of yeah, that’s me below fluffing the sheer curtains that I purchased for my client. What do you think of the disc art wall?
