Wednesday’s Wink … { monkeying around Part 2}

Hiya! Did you get to see the 1st part of the ‘Monkeying Around’ decal post? … stroll over there now so you can view how the decals arrived at my office. Then, today is the reveal!! I applied one of the decal branches next to my client’s shelf so the branch looks like it is growing from the shelf. Can you spot the sleeping monkey below (NO .. not me!!):

Here’s the adorable sleeping monkey:

The decal arrived in separate parts – cuuute face separate from the body, branches, tree trunk, 2 color leaves, bunny .. oh yeah .. there is a bunny (pic at the end of post):

As for the tree trunk – I trimmed it at the molding, then continued the design under the molding. A crib will cover the bottom of the tree so the tree doesn’t look like it is floating.

Here I am below – on the ladder attaching the decal transfer paper. A big THANK YOU to my wonderful assistant, Emily, who helped me install these decals. Did you see the bunny toy? The bunny normally comes in blue, but since my client has blue walls, I suggested a color that would make the adorable bunny (and the pacifier … you did see the monkey’s pacifier right??!) stand out. I would love to hear from you! What do you think of the design?

  1. Ada and Emily,
    Great job on the monkey decal. It’s adorable. I’ve tried decals on my wall, but they’re textured. The decal doesn’t stick well. I did see the bike you put on the closet and thought that I could do that in my son’s room where we have the same closet door. Love your blog Ada!!!!

      Glad u love my blog Lisa! Yeah, decals on textured walls are a bit tricky (flat surface works wonderful). Have FUN placing the decal on ur son’s closet door .. remember, they look great in ALL flat surfaces .. bookcase, table, etc. 🙂

    The red bunny and pacifier gives that pop of color. It makes the design even more cheery. 🙂

  3. Hi Ada!

    We love using decals too and this design is simply adorable!

    P.S. Loving the new (individual) look of your e-newsletter. Keep blossoming 🙂
