Wooohooo (happy)…. the giraffe height chart arrived for the nursery room of one of my clients! Boooohoooo (@%#&) … store shipped the WRONG ONE (hence my sad i-can’t-believe-they-did-this face below):
Finally …. the CORRECT order (a decal NOT a mirror) arrived (back to being happy!!!!). Next step after inspection is to deliver it onsite (client’s apt) to install .. drive .. zoom zooooom …. park car ….
…. installation time!!! Height determined:
Snipp, snipp (surgery … scalpel … no animals were harmed!) …
Peel caaaaarefully:
And place legs, butt [butt is such a funny word ... giggle!!!!)] …
… neck, head:
And done: … whatchathink of it?
A few unique things about this height chart decal .. the design pattern represents different ‘fabric’ (for texture coolness), the giraffe is well a GIRAFFE (what kids doesn’t wants animals in his room!!), and my fave part of this decal set is that it came with little photo frames (seen below in a set of 4 to the left of the giraffe) .. so as the baby grows, parent can take photos every year to add to the frame – isn’t that COOOOOOL? … and so worth the wait to get the ‘correct’ item that makes a wow statement economically and creatively!! That’s what caught my eye too … client has a newborn so taking lots of pics and this chart provides a creative way of posting precious memories.

So cute! I noticed that items are sometimes broken or wrong when you order them for your client. Is that something to expect on a regular basis as a designer? Just wondering about what the future has in store for me.
Broken or wrong items are a TOTAL NORM!!!! … I exaggerated with the %#^@ .. bec. I am really totally used to it – my assistants tend to worry more than I so I remind them often how it’s ok .. it’s simply get’s replaced .. and client is kept happy!
my kids’ heights are just scratched in pencil inside a closet door. that decal is a lot cuter!

Funny bec. when I received the mirror I immediately knew what we would do to it to convert it into a cool height chart if the other item by aaaaany chance was discontinued!
