Do you have a morning routine? I haven’t been able to get out of the habit of rolling out of bed and heading straight to my coffee-maker ‘SHRINE’. I am still sipping decaf (feeling great to unplug from the caffeine), and minimized my sugar having just 4 teaspoons instead of … 8 (eek)!!
I am also trying to un-plug from my bread intake … olive bread, garlic, sourdough, etc, yummy etc. Now I am cRaViNg it more (yikes!). But I believe the trick is to minimize, not to take it out of your diet completely.
I received these cute heart shaped cups w/saucers in Christmas and I refuse to have them inside my kitchen cabinets. For hey, what’s the point of having pretty dishware, right? … show them off!!!
Aren’t they adorable? I have been sipping from them more often lately (Tip: another perk for having them out is that you see them more = you use it more). I view the heart as a subliminal message to keep taking care of my health (not to dump 10 teaspoons of sugar in my coffee like I used to do). And while, I manage now to drink decaf (without turning into a zombie), I do still have that “habit” of reaching for the cup of coffee to start my day. My morning motto is = No coffee, No workee!!! <– a motto that I spotted on either instagram or pinterest that def describes me “currently”.
Maybe one day I will each for orange juice instead of coffee, but for now … NO coffee, NO workee! Have a beautiful dayee!

i love the smell of coffee, and a decaf extra-hot mocha with 2% milk every now and again, but don’t drink it every day. also, nice going with reducing the sugar. you’re getting there!
Thanks Noreen, I used to zoom to make/drink the coffee that I didn’t take the time to smell it’s wonderful aroma (glad I am changing that!!).
Those cups are adorable. I’ve always read that as well: that the trick is not to deny yourself and quit your treat cold turkey. So, I think you are going about it all the right way.
Glad u like the cups (it cuts down on the amount of coffee I have, since they are more tea cups than coffee)
