Saturday’s Color Story .. { DIY tree ornament, plus toothpaste??? }

Hellooooooo. Today is so sunny outside (i love it!). My wonderful design assistant, Evelisa, is making a handmade ornament for her xmas tree that is coming out soooo cute that I wanted to give u a peek at it before it is even completed. Check it out below:

I loooove the colorful threads that she decided to use (doesn’t it simply say CHRISTMAS FUN!!!!!!):

She is using felt and thread for the ‘ornaments‘, little pins to make the the inside holes, and the tree came already cut from Michaels store. She’s aiming to have it completed by next week so I will post the reveal then (next Sat).

The color scheme that Evelisa used reminded of of the latest CB2 catalog which I loooooove (this is one that I may not feed to the recycling bin). Let’s see if u can spot why (and no it wasn’t bec of their cool accessories).
Here’s a close up of one of the pages … showing their serving items (hot dog holder, etc.) which is cool, but what I really looove is that the  hot dog, french fries and ketchup r MADE of PAPER (sooo cool!). IS that a REAL hotdog? Nooooope. Want to see another one?

When I flipped to this page below, I had to do a double take .. realizing that that was NOT water in the sink or on the counter (the spill). And did u see the toothpaste?

Since I get tooooons of catalogs and magazines at my office/home, I tend to zoom through them, but this catolog def caught my attention since I stopped to analzye everything in the photo (like what is real and what is not?? omg – fun!!!). Great job CB2 and the creative team that created it!!!
