Sherry and John from Young House Love blog found this not so fitting bench for a bargain at $7.00 and decided to make it fit for the house that they love decorating! They took a simple bench, added some new paint and a great fabric that was bright and re-freshing that totally revamped this bargain of a bench!
You can see their step by step process at Young House Love, where they describe how they made the bench fit better in their home and where they got all of their supplies! A special thanks to Sherry and John for sharing this wonderful piece and for constantly inspiring us to love our house, no matter how old or young.
So, how was your weekend? Weather was p e r f e c t in NY. Saturday hub and I checked out the membership to the tennis court club near us and found out that it was an insanely cost of $2,600 a year … with a ‘restaurant’ in the club that was more of a snack bar space with 4 stools. Needless to say, we are now looking for public tennis courts. I am still in a bit of shock, not just the price but what it included in the price. I didn’t expect a 5 star restaurant, but also def not a snack bar called a ‘restaurant’. Def not my cup ot tea. Hmm, they probably don’t even offer tea there. Ok, ok … I’ll move on. On Sunday, hubby and I had a wonderful dinner at mom’s home. I love Spanish food and she cooked our fav arroz con habichuela (rice w/beans) yuuuum then we played Dominoes where we have to keep our eyeballs on each other bec we try to cheat as part of the game, only to confess our victory at the end (yeah we put our own fun twist into it). This weekend we are off to San Francisco, California .. a nice get-a-way treat for our 2 year wedding anniversary. That reminds me .. I have lost to do before we leave… have a GREAT day!
