Monday’s Make-it … {Moroccan stencil DIY by Ada}

Hi ya’ll! I hope you had a wonderful weekend full of giggles! Today’s post is one of my DIYs .. I am designing one of the rooms in my home (a den / aka guest room) and it feels like it has taken FOREVER to complete. Probably bec. it has! My DIYs usually take long bec I juggle it in between my company’s 4 decorating services. Sometimes I have to FORCE myself (in a gentle way of course) to view my home as a client project so I can prioritize it’s completion. So here are a few details (thus far). Here I am aligning the stencil (which I completely fell in love with when I spotted it online)…    I had to let the 1st panel dry, then carefully match the stencil layout to the painted design. I used FROG tape (love the name, don’tcha?!) and blue painters tape (when I ran out of the FROG tape) to hold the stencil in place (without damaging the wall/paint for the next pass of yellow paintPaint color used is Benjamin Moore’scolor# 320 (called amarillo). Here are a few more pictures (action shots!!!) including me looking very tired and without make-up. I confess it was a WORKOUT stenciling (roller up, roller down, roller up, roller down),but I love the way it turned out and my arms (biceps) are looking pretty darn good from the painting workout.

So here is a semi-completed peek at the design:

What do you think of it? This Wed (for my Wednesday’s Wink column) I will reveal where I got the stencil and the company’s other gorgeous stencils .. oh and they are economical too. Mine (Moroccan design above) cost only $39 buckaroos! Talk to you Wed!
