Happy Valentines! I hope you had a wooonderful weekend! Today I want to reveal my current obsession (the i-muuust-haaave at my office thingamagig). What is it? Masking tape! Ok, not the regular boringzzzzz masking tape … but the ohhhh so pretty ones called ‘Japanese washi tape’ that have a variety of pretty colors and patterns like the ones spotted from Origamisan where the tape is wrapped on the clear jars (I love it!!! .. so simple .. so elegant .. so FUN!)
Check out Origamisan’s site for more tape design inspiration and they have cool origami tutorial videos too - I liked the seal origami! Another idea for using the masking tape is creating ’pretty’ magnetic note holders with clothing pin as Whitney Beard from Whisker Graphics shows us below:
She used washi tape, clothespins, 1″ x 4″ white labels, an xacto knife, and sticky-backed magnetic tape to transform clothespins to ooh soo pretty note holders (great to make your fridge notes pretty!!!):
Check out her details here. Thanks Whitney for sharing your step by step process with us! Now I need to go hunt down some clothespins ….
