Monday’s Make-It … { lamp shade revamp }

How was your weekend? Mine was spent in class – yep 2 full days of taking notes, raising my hand for questions, and ….’creative’ FUN! Wa??? fun in class? U betcha!!… bec the class was held by the Holly Becker (aka: fairy godmother of blogging) from Decor8 and Leslie Shewring from A Creative Mint ( with ultra beautiful styling + photography). I’ll tell you more about the class this week, but for today we found another lovely creative blogger –>  Alison from Hambly Screen Prints  who has been creating papers and over-lays for over six years. She shares with us a very versatile way to spice up plain Orgel Lamps from Ikea with patterned overlays. Ready for the peek?

All it takes are some beautiful patterned overlays.

The best part is how ethereal the lamp looks as it glows through the patterns.

So simple, so beautiful and delicate looking. Do you like it? The best part is that you can use any design for your overlays! Head over to Hambly Screen Prints for more detailes, as well as, checking out some of their amazing overlays! Thank you Allison for your inspiration and showing us a very versatile way to brighten up our homes.

So, how did you spend your weekend?

    What a great idea! I might have to steal the idea and beautify the lamps on our nightstands. I just wish I had more time…
