Monday’s Make-it … {today I install a tree decal}

OMG … I look awful in the pic below (like I am going to start singing opera oooooo). All in the name of inspiring u! No, not to sing (unless u want to), but to jazz up a wall with decals. Today I walk (umm, talk) you through my steps of installing a tree decal.

First I transfer the paper ….  rolling the decal sheet into a paper that grabs the decals with the adhesive side:

Here’s a closer look:

Then I grabbed a ladder (did some stretching excercises beforehand) then started applying the trunk of the trees and branches:

Here’s how it’s turning out:

Here I connect the branches. The decals comes with instructions (hence the #2 below), but I always advise to be a rebel and create your own design …. maybe more branches to the left instead of the right so the tree looks like it is gently swaying in the wind:

Time to bring in the spring season … here Istart adding the leaves:

Then done:

Yep, applied in a bathroom.

Here’rs a side view:

I also did a video-shoot for this installation, that we are prepping to have it published in our Sunday’s Smile Video series – scheduled for Sept 18. Have you seen my videos lately? We created a page that we plan to update monthly with new vids. I hope u grab some popcorn and check out the vid page here.
