Monday’s Make-it … { vaca time! }

I’ll be going on vacation soon, and I must say that I TOTALLY NEED A VACATION!

Just the other day I ran into a neighbor who was perplexed on why I get up at 4:30am ‘since I am my own boss’ so I get to choose my hours.  For some reason I think this neighbor thought that having a home office meant I get to watch soap-opera’s at home, he’s lucky I already had my coffee or I might had chewed his head off (<- ok, talking like this is cleaaarly a sign that I neeeed a vacation).  I haven’t watched soaps since college (is Days of Our Lives still even on???), most morns are spent placing orders, blog preps, contacting stores, facebook check-in, answering emails, sorting tasks for my assistants, invoicing, and more admin stuff before I even GET to the actual “design part” of my biz. Once I am in the design-zone …. I am in my comfy happy place again. This past week was esp hectic since I was (well, still am) using SUPER POWERS turbo charging my multi-tasking skills (esp since I am short on a design assistant) in order to complete final touches on several designs before I can veg at the beach ……..

Did you see where I am going in the map? Yep, relaxing on an island. We even plan to have dinners ON the beach … with our feet in the white soft sands.  Have you been to the island of Aruba? This is my first time visiting – hmmm, maybe I should get a dictionary, their prim language is Dutch (naaaah, no dictionary … I’m good at charades haha).
