I went to a cooking class in Manhattan that was so much FUN and oooh so delicious! Below is a group pic including my hubby paying close attention to the chef.
We learned to make: Summer Rolls with Shrimp, Mango, and Cilantro (yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I have photos below to show you). We also make Chicken-Coconut Soup with Lemongrass and Ginger (droooool, was so delicious), and Green Curry Chicken with Thai Basil, rice, and Eggplant (it was so AWESOME)…. um, at this point of the class I was sooo into the making and EATING process that I didn’t take any photos of the soup of chicken (sorry, my stomach took over!). Here’s was my ‘station’:
The class (company called Home Cooking New York) was a present from a friend of mine (hi Kathy!!!). I admit, ’iiii” am the one that needed the lessons since my hub is the wonderful chef in our marriage. Oh, btw I though it was cool and AWESOME that the chef and all the guys in the class were the cooks in the household. Here I am below fearing slicing the veggies:
I wasn’t allowed to use this ‘machine’ without my hubby’s supervision .. wise choice:
Warm (not HOT) water temperature so ….. even at one point dived into the pan to create my own.
Look how THIN and see through the wrap is .. it was delicate, but didn’t really fall apart unless u stuffed it too much and wrapped it too tight (which I must say … I was a wrapping GENIUS! yes, mine came out perfect):
Now, here is when we started the lesson on making the chicken coconut soup … it is also where I remembered how hungry I was and forgot I had a camera (so not much photos):
Always remember to live delicious within your home, heart, and tummy! Tomorrow is part deux of the living room design reveal of one of my full service projects. I hope you visit!
