If you have been following my blog you already know that I have gone diy gift-card-crazy this holiday. I created ones with grocery bags, from photos, from Christmas cards, and now this:
Yes, that above my friends is a cup holder from Starbucks, which I have collected a few (with my addiction to their Caramel Brulee Latte … yuuuuum). I trimmed the snowflakes with the holiday wording ….
And voila … a cutie-pie worded gift tag. Wontcha be MERRY with me this beautiful holiday!?!
Then, I eyeballed their holiday bag (after I finished slurping my latte of course), grabbed by (1) business card, (2) pencil, (3) hole punch, (4) scissors, and (4) thread. Cut the bottom of the bag and …
… and flattened the bag:
Grabbed my biz card to use as a TEMPLATE for the tag size, and penciled the outline of the card:
Then snip snip ….
And transformed gift tags from their brown bag:
You can create whichever SIZE you want, especially since presents come in all sizes. Dontcha love this cutie-pie bird:
I ended up getting 13 tags out of the 1 bag, but I I could had made moooore .. the little bag still had room:
So, in case you are running out of TIME with your present wrapping and tagging, take a break (breath!!!), go to Starbucks, get a back and head back to tagging your presents!!! Merry gift tagging!

I also have a collection of Starbucks cup sleeves and they are sturdy enough for tags. It’s a great idea it’s simple but sweet. The tags you made from the Bag from Starbucks are super cute too.
Glad u like it Janet … plus it’s FREEEEEE!!!
Love it. After your post about cutting up xmas cards I was looking at my Starbucks bag in a different way. Maybe next year I’ll have to give it a shot.
I love this idea – it’s super economical and a great way to recycle.
