I spotted this article in Martha Stewart Living magazine that has beauty in photo and words. The article is featured in the February 2010 issue (yes, I am finally ’catching up’ in my reading). It is on page 116, written by Sally Gall explaining the Venetian inspired 1916 estate in Florida (not in Italy, but it sure feels like you are transported to an estate in Italy)! The photos in the mag, taken by Philip Smith, show off the estate in Miami that really represents European style. Here are a few pics of the estate (gorgeous huh???):
This is the sentence that I LOVE in this article …
… it reads: ”Vizcaya’s gardens are intended to be experienced rather than just observed.” Experienced … how true this should be for EVERY room in our home. Where we FEEL great within the room, not simply the room ‘looking good’ but ‘feeling good’. This weekend’s mission for me - to treat myself to reading more inspiring magazines! Have a beautiful weekend ‘treat’.
