Friday’s Finds … { Silk Shirt Dress | Thanksgiving Decor }

I am sloooowly waking up from my denial that Thanksgiving is next week (or that we are even in November). Plus all these Christmas decorations in stores gets me all confused … like – Did Thanksgiving pass already??? (if so I sure hope I enjoyed the turkey!). So, today’s collage is in turkey-day-inspired …..

… including the casual look of the silk dress shirt from J. Jill. My fave item in today’s collage is the Thanksgiving Cookie Cut-outs perhaps bec. I have been thinking of starting to learn how to bake for the past 6 months. Hmmm, I think I 1st have to learn how to leave work by 6pm to start dinner at a normal time before I dive into baking. Do you bake? What’s the last goody that you baked?

  1. These ARE fabulous finds. I’m loving that console table.

    I’m loving the poster. I have the same one in my cubicle at work, but it says “Keep Calm and Eat a Cupcake”. I’m also in shock that Turkey Day is next week. My husbands sells to a lot of stores and told me that they went from Halloween decor to xmas and completely blew by Thanksgiving. How sad is that?

    • Ada says:

      Hi Lisa .. it is a bit sad isnt it …. plus it confuses me when I walk into a coffee shop (with NO caffein in my system = not awake yet) and see Xmas decor.

  3. Rose says:

    I have a pre-made box of sugar cookies ready to pop in the oven! Just need to add some butter and eggs. Too bad I still won’t find time to do this until after Thanksgiving probably but hey – cookies are cookies!

    Did I mention I love the color palette of this Finds set? Purple is so growing on me.

    • Ada says:

      Hi Rose, purple color isn’t one of my fave as well…. but in moderation I admit that it grows on me as well! Cooooookies yum!

    I like to bake but my cooking/kitchen skills are low. The last “hit or miss” were cheddar biscuits. These turned into a ‘miss’ because I used sea salt instead of ‘course’ salt. But, I’m sure the next batch will be just right!

    • Ada says:

      I am sure it will be perfect, and welll either way … just have FUN with experimenting + perfecting on ur baking skills ; )
