Hmmm, do u ever have those days that every time u blink an hour passes? Where did the time go … ahhhhh! Ok … stay calm .. and carry on … maybe with ice-cream in hand. Today I share a few more design boards (see the blue bench above?) and showing some peeks of the design brought to life = which is one of the many things that I LOVE about being an interior decorator … seeing the design I created blossom to ‘reality’. Check out the bench installed in my client’s foyer:
Below is another installation peek, showing the bench, artwork, console table, green vase, and if u look very clooooose you can even see a tiiiiiiiiiny bit of the chair. The only item we changed from my design board was the mirror, we went with a rectangular one instead of the round one:
Here I am below installing the tree decal that we converted to a coat rack by adding hooks to the ‘branches’:
Whatchathink of the splash of colors??? Decals are a super-duper economical way to add WOWNESS to a wall (and did I already say … ECONOMICAL??!!!!!):
Here’s the bedroom I designed for the same client, the client already had the bedframe, nightstands, armchair w.ottoman, and media console/tv; I added ….
….. work desk, orange work chair, table lamp, round rug, sheer curtains, tri-pod floor lamp (isn’t it cooool?), wall disc art (ooh so colorful for visual height to balance the tall windows/curtains), and artwork. For full service clients I start the project by taking measurements of the rooms and photos, then I can create a floorplan and provide them w/furniture placement details.
Whatcha think of the design? Here I am … fluffing the curtains! Oooh, client already had remote control window shades. We added the curtains to soften the room and give soft visual height (= makes the room look complete).
Here’s a closer look at the chic modern home office area. My client loves the ocean, so I knew he would LOVE the coral desk lamp. Do you?
I’m currently working on a new e-decorating design, so I can’t PROCRASTINATE today and need to glue my tush to my chair. What’s on your to-do list today? Have a GREAT day!!!

Love the pops of yellow color, something as simple as adding flowers to a space brings the entire design together
yep, adding a ‘balance’ of furniture pieces brings a design together and the flowers are ICING ON THE CAKE
Oooh, Ada. I love the behind the scenes posts. That tree coat hanger is sooo cute. I’m trying peel and stick squares on my wall even though it’s textured. Wish me luck!
YIKES .. decals on a textured walls are a huge no noooo :O I hope it turns out wonderful! In the future, if u can, try skim coating your walls to make it smoooth, here’s a vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqqkHDh-leM
Looks great Ada and I like that you worked with some of the client’s existing pieces when possible.
Thanks, we have many more pics of this project … just don’t have time yet to prep haha. I figured these SNEAK PEEKS can still inspire people to decorate to live GREAT w/in their homes .. yaaay! Thanks for stopping by!
Love the pops of color! And my favorite colors too!
Gives viual height .. with an element of FUN. And fun can be sleek and cool!
Who said that plates are to just be kept hidden in kitchen cabinets? Using them as wall art not only adds great visual interest but the colors are fab!!
These were actual art disc, but I agree … colorFUL plates can be used as art!
It was a very clever idea adding hooks to the decal branches to allow room to hang accessories! Love it!!
