Friday’s Finds … { Top 4 ‘Fang-tastic’ Home Decor }

Hello blog friends, TGIF (woot woot!). Have you seen my home’s Halloween decor? We haven’t finished decorating yet – we still have to add the ghoulish white cobwebs that we add every year (yep, it’s tradition!. What’s your traditional Halloween home decor?

There are sooo many ways to decorate for Halloween. First is to narrow down how FAR you want to go in the spookiness. In our neighborhood, there are lots of young children (and scary-pants adults like me!) so every year I remind hubby that we need to ‘tone down’ the decor for ”kids sake” and so I don’t drop like a possum! Second, narrow down a budget for new spooky ammunition.  If you are decorating with the same decor as years past, simply PLACE THEM differently = for that unexpected ghoulish surprise Mwwahahahaha. Decorating doesn’t have to be expensive – you can get the fun Halloween feeling in a room by moving excess regular decor out of the room and adding simple decor. The top 4 items I recommend to halloween-ize homes are:

1. BATS (everywhere!!!, yep even in bathrooms )
2. SPIDERS (eek -> queue in the tippie toeing!)
3. PILLOWS (orange + black = classic!)
4. SKELETONS (tsst, need I say more?!)

I hope you like the finds I scouted for today’s collage . . . . the bat (1) is a free clipart (see credits below for the source), as for the (2) spider cup, I confess that it may FREAK ME OUT in the morning (picture me with no caffeine in my system yet and taking a sip). (3) Pillows …. I looove changing pillow designs constantly = color coordinated per season and holiday. And dontcha love the (4) pink Skeleton? Ok, maybe it’s just me (remember, I have a PINK grandfather clock on my office) I couldn’t find a source in the USA that sells it. Solution = paint!!!

My assistant Myra, wrote this wonderful word-spoof based on today’s finds. p.s. My fave is the “coffin” break <– it still cracks me up! Ready?

We would like to Witch you a Happy Halloween month! Thank you for visiting our blog, come on in let’s enjoy a cup of fresh spider cider [1] serving a drink with a cup like the one above will have any one jumping out of their seat. Time to remember the gh’oul times and start having some fun with transforming your home with great Halloween decor. [2] Some people neglect the bathroom when decorating their space for the holidays. Surprise your guests when they step into your bathroom and come across some bats just hanging around. [3] Remember you can never go wrong with adding fun pillows to your decor. [4] Small details like placing a funky, bright skeleton to an every day tray makes a big difference. Addressing all areas with fun-filled decor just makes you smile [smirk!] every time you step into your home. Have you taken a look at Ada’s Halloween decorations? If not, time to take a quick “coffin” break and glance on over to the post…. where Ada presents ideas on how to spruce up your home with Halloween decor.

Hope you enjoyed all of our fang-tastic finds.
