INSIDE OUR beach hut VILLA IN MALDIVES

1 Maldives dhuni kolhu hut

Ready for the tour? The beach hut villa in Maldives that we stayed was perfectly romantic. A hut romantic? Absolutely! Canopy bed with luxurious bedding, outdoor showers, mega high ceilings, and more. See the window behind the lounge chairs (in above photo)? Those open up so we went to sleep and woke up by the real sound of the ocean, no sound machine needed. Plus, views of the sunset from our hut. So magical. So memorable. But enough chit chat, let me show you the photos inside the beach hut villa ……

OUTDOOR SHOWER + BATHROOM

The left and right side at the back of bedroom area leads to the bathroom area(s). Indoors is a double sink mega long vanity counter (which you can kinda see through the door in the photo below). The counter had lots of drawers on each sides (ie: a his + hers style of drawers). Then, through the door was the rest of the bathroom. Yep, as in toilet being OUTSIDE. We still had complete privacy but it-was-outside. I adjusted quickly to the al fresco-ness of the 2 showers including the drop in tub. I truly loved the freedom of being outdoors with the beautiful garden oasis design.

OUTDOOR / JACUZZI AREA

Our beach hut also included a Jacuzzi area that lite at night. We ended up with a routine ->  Sunbathing - then swimming - then cigar smoking - then dip in jacuzzi - then lunch - then repeat. Since everyday in this beautiful island was special, we did a crazy thing not normally done on vacations - we set our alarm. Set around 5:50am just in time for us to roll out of bed, make coffee, and get cozy outside to watch the amazing Indian Ocean sunrise by our beach hut villa. 1st time I saw it I got teary eye. I think it was bec it was one of those moments that you remember ‘THIS” is why. Why hubby and I work our asses off - to see the beauty and love of the world outside our own home. I’ll leave you with photos of the sunrise.
